Lifedrawing

Lines, Marks, Flesh, Scars, Body.
By being with and exploring my physicality, the space, different objects and my fascinations, meaningful relationships and emotions with these things begin to flourish. Once flourished, they become the tool for me to try and further my understanding of myself. I have experienced more than I can communicate but when something does communicate or resonate I hold on to it, waltz with it, cut into it and mark it down to the bare bone.

In 2004 Kate was selected as one of the most promising young artists from NRLA ’03 to be commissioned as a ‘One Year On…’ artist. For NRLA 2004 Kate made a 7 hour durational work called ‘Missing Things’.
