Solo Performance Work

Current Solo Works
FIX (working title)
"I am not a fixer but I am going to attempt to fix.
Not restore. Not patch up. Not return to a previous state.
But fix.
To observe, to acknowledge, maybe transform, maybe stabilise, maybe destabilise. "
FIX is a durational one to one performance. Each performance lasting as long as the audience member wants.
I ask you to bring me an object you would like to see fixed.
I have my toolbox, and I make no promises.
HISTORY REPEATS (working title)This solo work, which explores memory, language and self-documentation, is a project in its early stage of development. This work stems initially from a professional creative collaboration residency, between Pamela Carter, of ek Performance and myself.

Methodology
I see what I do as a philosophy more than anything else. A way of seeing, understanding, questioning and responding.
A conversation in which I respond physically, using object, image, action, sound, text, video, light and my own body. It is a conversation between me and everything that surrounds me, the information I absorb, the ideas stimulated from a piece of architecture, a newspaper, a birds song, a conversation, a film, an art exhibition, a facial expression, a missed bus.
As an artist it is my role to keep responding to these things, to keep the conversation growing, physically, emotionally and intellectually.
"It is not about stringing together a collection of performances, but about following an honest trajectory of exploration" (Stelarc)
Past solo works include - LifeDrawing, (2002-2003)
Missing Things, (2004)
In a moment (2005-2006)
